Unlike ear syringing or home remedies, microsuction uses a fine suction probe to gently remove wax from the ear canal while under direct visualisation.

Hearing Aid Reprogramming, Servicing & Repairs

Have you spent hundreds, or even thousands, on hearing aids but still struggle to hear clearly?

Most hearing aids are originally fitted using results from a basic audiogram (pure tones). While this provides a foundation, hearing pure tones is much easier for the brain than processing speech in real-world background noise.

This often leaves patients disappointed with the performance of their devices.

At The Studio Goostrey, we go further.

Our dedicated sound room is designed specifically for hearing aid reprogramming, where we test, verify, and fine-tune your devices so they work optimally, not just in quiet clinics, but in the real-life settings where hearing matters most.

  • During your appointment, we will:

  • Re-establish your hearing thresholds.

  • Measure your speech in noise ability.

  • Revisit your hearing lifestyle.

  • Reprogram your instrument (where appropriate).

  • Introduce Auditory Training and follow-up visit.

Prescriptive Hearing Aids

No two people hear the same, and your hearing aids should reflect that.

At The Studio Goostrey, we provide prescriptive hearing aids that are programmed to your unique audiometric readings, fitted to your ear shape, and re-programmable as your hearing needs evolve.

Using advanced testing such as speech-in-noise assessments and word recognition, we ensure your hearing aids are not just functional, but finely tuned to help you thrive in real-life situations.

As we are independent, we offer all hearing aids from all manufacturers, we choose the most appropriate technology.

  • During your visit, we will:

  • Take the data from your Full Comprehensive Hearing Assessment.

  • Note and factor your individual hearing lifestyle.

  • Match your hearing and listening ability.

  • Assess and discuss your ability to handle and use the hearing instruments.

  • From there choose and agree the most appropriate system for you!
